31st ANNUAL SPRING CLASSIC SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Loves Park, IL (Tuesday, March 11, 2008) – The snow is melting at the Rockford Speedway and track officials are confident that the facility will be ready for the 31st Annual Spring Classic on Sunday, April 13th. The one-day event will feature the Big 8 Series and Mid-American Series in a great afternoon of racing.

Officials also have announced the schedule for that day with the pits opening at 6:30 am. A mandatory driver’s meeting will take place at 8:45 am with practice beginning at 9:30 am.

The main gate will open at 11:00 am for the race fans with qualifying scheduled to begin at 11:15 am.

Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for 12:45 pm with racing action beginning at 1:00 pm. The afternoon of racing will be capped off with a 100-lap feature for the Big 8 Series and a 50-lap feature for the Mid-American Series.

The track will also be open for practice on Saturday, April 12th from Noon to 4 pm for the Big 8 Series and Mid-American Series. The grandstands will be open for free to spectators on Saturday.

Pit passes are $15 for Saturday and $30 for Sunday. Or you can get a two-day pit pass for $40.

Grandstand tickets are $20 for adult reserved seating and adult general admission, $10 for a child (ages 6-11) reserved admission and $5 for general admission. Ages 0-5 will get free admission. Also, look for the Spring Classic ad in many periodicals for a $3 off coupon.

Rockford Speedway will also be open on Saturday, April 5 for an Open Practice from Noon to 4 pm. The annual Media Day is also scheduled for Saturday, April 5.
