CAMBRIDGE, WI (Friday, July 17, 2009) — Roy Kenseth of RK Race Promotions is pleased to announce that his VIP Hospitality package scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at The Milwaukee Mile will now be honored on the same day at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wis. The track will be co-promoting the “Triple 50’s” on the 29th with RK Race Promotions.

The MIS weekly Rockweiler Insulation Late Models will compete in a twin 50-lap feature event that will include, for the first time ever, father vs. son as Matt Kenseth goes head-to-head against his 16-year-old son, Ross, along with the weekly MIS competitors.

Also on track will be the Mid-American Series in a 50-lap feature. The Mid-Ams were originally scheduled for The Milwaukee Mile and will be a welcome addition to this event.

“Like everyone else in the racing community, I’m sad to see what is happening at The Milwaukee Mile. and it was unfortunate that the Wisconsin All-Star 100 was cancelled,” Roy Kenseth said. “As soon as I was informed of the cancellation, I spoke to Dave Grueneberg at MIS and we came up with a unique new event that I think the fans will enjoy.”

The Twin 50’s will be a points event for the MIS weekly Rockweiler Insulation Late Models. Matt Kenseth, the 2009 Daytona 500 champion, will compete in a Pathfinder Chassis–prepared Late Model and is excited about the opportunity to finally race against his son. “I am looking forward to racing against Ross and racing in a limited late model. I never have competed in one at Madison,” he stated. “I have watched many limited late model races since Ross has started and they are very competitive. I’m sure it will be a lot of fun and a great learning experience.”

Roy Kenseth says that RK Race Promotions will honor the VIP hospitality packages that fans bought for The Milwaukee Mile event. “We will also continue to sell the VIP package for $75,” Kenseth said. “Everything we were planning to do in Milwaukee, we will be doing at Madison.”

“Everything” includes The Gilbert Brown Foundation’s participation in hospitality activities. “When I invited them to join us at Madison, they were excited,” Roy Kenseth said. “Not only will the fans have a chance to see Matt, but they’ll get to see former Green Bay Packers Gilbert Brown and William Henderson too.”

Fans interested in purchasing the VIP hospitality package can download the order form here. Each $75 VIP ticket includes access to the VIP tent, complimentary snacks and beverages, grandstand seating, pit pass, and a 1:24 scale autographed Matt Kenseth DeWALT Action Gold Series Die-Cast Car, a $59 value.

General admission race day tickets are $15 for ages 12 and up, $5 for ages 6-11, and 5 and under are FREE. Pit passes, which include general grandstand admission, are $30. Ages 14-18 must have notarized consent to enter pits. Under age 14 not allowed in pits per MIS regulations.

If you purchased tickets directly from The Milwaukee Mile, you are encouraged to hold on to your tickets. The intent is for these tickets to have value toward a future event; they will not be honored at the MIS event.

Pit gates will open at 10:00 a.m. with practice starting at noon. Qualifying will begin at 4:00 p.m. with racing underway at 7:00 p.m.
