Wednesday, December 11, 2007 (Cambridge, WI) – Last year, many race fans wondered if a tradition was starting to unfold. It is starting to seem like it as Roy Kenseth along with his RK Race Promotions company has announced that Matt Kenseth and Tony Stewart will return for a third year in a row to the All-Star Challenge event at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, WI.

“The last two years have been so successful and we had a lot of positive comments from the fans, that it was an easy decision to do it again in 2008,” Roy Kenseth stated. “The date of the event will be on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 with a rain date scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2008.”

The event has become one of the biggest events over the last two years at Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile Oval. Kenseth realizes that he will need to step it up for the 2008 event. “I have asked Matt to get me a third driver for the 2008 event,” Kenseth stated. “As soon as we have the confirmation on whom that driver will be we will announce it right away. But to have my son along with Tony to come back for a third year in a row to this event will be special on its own.”

For the second year in a row, Kenseth and Stewart will be competing in a super late model with rules closely following the ASA Midwest Tour rule package. Also, competing that day will be limited late models in which Matt’s son, Ross, will be behind the wheel.

The ticket order form is available at www.mattkenseth.com and www.kevinramsell.com. A limited number of VIP packages are available for $125. This includes: reserved grandstand seating, pit pass, complimentary food and beverages in the hospitality tent, an autograph from Matt and/or Tony, and a special question/answer session with the NASCAR stars.

General admission tickets are also for sale for $20 for adults (ages 11 and up), $10 for ages 10 and under. Also, a limited number of pit passes are also available for $50. The pit pass will also give you admission to the grandstand area and does not guarantee that you will be able to meet any of the NASCAR stars. Also, it is age restricted to ages 14 and above.

This will be fourth All-Star Challenge event that RK Race Promotions has hosted. In 2005, the first event took place at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, WI in which Jeff VanOudenHoven won the event. Kenseth brought along Roush Fenway teammate Carl Edwards. Edwards would finish fifth with Kenseth right behind him in sixth.

In 2006, the All-Star Challenge moved to Madison International Speedway with Kenseth and Stewart. Kelly Bires would go on to hold off Kenseth for the win with Stewart finishing seventh.

Kenseth would find himself in victory lane at the 2007 event holding off Mark Eswein and Nate Haseleu for the victory. Stewart would repeat with another seventh place finish.
