BURLINGTON, WI (Friday, April 5, 2008) – ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment officials are proud to announce that Lane Automotive, along with Red Line Synthetic Oil and Hyperco have signed on as the title sponsor of the Rookie of the Year program. The program will now be titled the Lane Automotive ASAMT Rookie of the Year presented by Red Line Synthetic Oil and Hyperco.

“We definitely kept an eye on the ASA Midwest Tour last year and they had a great first year,” John Berglund, Advertising Manager and Race Track Promotions for Lane Automotive stated. “We went to the Norway (MI) race and were impressed with the event they put on. We kept up on every race they had, saw the momentum they are growing on, and said that we need to get on board with them.”

COMP CAMS SEES VALUE WITH BUILT ENGINES IN SHORT TRACK RACING

BURLINGTON, WI (Monday, March 31, 2008) – When Scooter Brothers of COMP Cams was approached in participating in the ASAMT Engine Giveaway Program, his company jumped at the chance. With COMP Cams participation, three drivers will be at the season opening event on Saturday, April 19th at Elko Speedway in Elko, MN for the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment’s Kwik Trip 125 with a brand new engine under their hoods.

BURLINGTON, WI (Monday, March 24, 2008) – 2003 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion, Matt Kenseth, will return to his roots and compete in two of the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment events in 2008. Kenseth is scheduled to race at the July 20th Iowa Speedway event and the August 24th Milwaukee Mile event.

MURGIC LOOKING FOR THAT ROOKIE MAGIC IN THE ASAMT

BURLINGTON, WI (FRIDAY, MARCH 21, 2008) – It’s not difficult to say that Nick Murgic has his future planned out. His goal is to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering with the hopes of working as an engineer for a race team, be a crew chief or a driver. And he is hoping that the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment will be a stepping stone towards that goal.

The junior at Rosemount (MN) High School is ranked 8th in his class with a 3.98 GPA. He is the youngest Super Late Model competitor at Elko Speedway and Raceway Park in Shakopee. This season he plans on competing for Rookie of the Year in the ASAMT.
