Kyle Ealy, Hawkeye Racing News editor, recently e-mailed me that he purchased a new mousepad from www.cafepress.com/kevinramsell.

"This is so cool," Ealy stated. "I was hesitant at first in ordering it, but when it arrived, its a top notch quality product. Plus, his logo is really cool as well!!!"

"I about fell off my seat when he told me purchased it," Ramsell stated. "I appreciate and flattered that he did. I think that was the first item sold on the site."

Ramsell will be entering his sixth season of auto racing writing on April 6th with the season opening event at Rockford Speedway.

On Saturday, December 22, 2007, I drove through the fog from my home in Stoughton to Cambridge and paid a visit to the Matt Kenseth Fan Club Headquarters.

Matt was there that day, along with Robbie Reiser, to sign autographs for over 650 fans.

If you haven’t been to his Fan Club Headquarters, it is worth the drive to Cambridge and check out. You will see a lot of his trophies, including the 2003 Winston Cup trophy.

Along with six cars that are on display. This includes his first late model, his first Busch Series win car, his first Winston Cup Series win car, the actual IROC car he won the championship in Atlanta in 2004, and the DeWalt car that won the last NASCAR race at Rockingham (remember he beat Kasey Kahne by inches in that one).

C-LOT LIST CONTINUES TO GROW FOR THE ROCKFORD AUCTION
By: Kevin Ramsell

Monday, December 31, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – The 2008 Illinois Racer’s Auction is coming up in a few days and the list of C-Lot items continues to grow for this two-day event. Not only will there be items for the racers, but there could be some items for the fans as well.

Auction officials are announcing that one of the items to go up for bid will be the COT nose from David Stremme’s Ganassi Dodge that competed at the Talladega Fall race. “This is one of those items that a race fan could put on the wall of their favorite racing room or for a racing themed bar,” Auction manager Gregg McKarns stated. “It will be interesting to see who will be bidding on this.”

Other C-Lot items include: multiple Lefthander Chassis’, a bandolero, dirt modified, two American Short Trackers, and multiple haulers (open and enclosed). More items continue to come in for this weekend’s event.
